While I freely admit that I am not a creative genius when it comes to making food, I do pride myself on being literate. Which is why it is so frustrating when I follow a new recipe to the letter (which requires no special technique), and this happens:

You want to know what else is frustrating? I made "dulci" a little while ago and actually baked the cookies--something I've done at least once a month since Brooke has been born. One random time the cookies all baked completely flat against the pan, just like yours. It almost drove me to curse as I was trying to scrape them off!
ReplyDeleteI think we have both learned our lesson. Don't ever bake the cookies; just eat the dough!
If you were to crumble them up and sprinkle them on top of some ice cream, you might be pleased.
